UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of svpKK108498 under the control of Scer\GAL4r4 leads to significantly bigger lipid droplet in the third instar larval fat body, a significant delay in pupariation, a small but significant decrease in female body weight and a significantly increased bacterial load at 24h, but not 48h, after infection of adults with Pseudomonas aeruginosa via septic injury, as compared to controls; under a high sugar diet (i.e. 1M sucrose), this expression is near lethal, as few adults eclose.
Expression of svpKK108498 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in male flies with weak wing size and patterning defects.
