UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Flies expressing FstKK110516 under the control of either the Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL or the Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI driver take longer to recover from cold-induced coma than controls.
Expression of FstKK110516 under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL increases the mortality rate in female flies 24 hours after cold-induced coma. The mortality rate in males is similar to controls. The mortality rate in males and females is increased when FstKK110516 is expressed under the control of the Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI driver.
Male and female FstKK110516 mutants under the control of the Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI driver are more susceptible to injury following cold induced coma than controls. Injury recovery rate is also impaired compared to controls in both sexes.
