Homozygous females and hemizygous males are lethal.
Homozygous clones induced using Scer\GAL4T155 result in female with downwardly folded wings with defective wing margins, severely deformed third legs and ectopic and defective bristle formation in the scutellum.
Females containing homozygous clones induced using Scer\GAL4T155 produce fewer eggs than normal. Embryos derived from eggs laid by these females have severe defects including scarred egg shells and shortened dorsal appendages.
Homozygous follicle cells in mosaic egg chambers are on average larger and contain approximately 1.6-fold more DNA than neighbouring heterozygous cells.
Molecular and genetic evidence suggests that there are most likely two P{lacW} insertions on the "G0060" chromosome. The flanking sequence for the line maps to 5B6 (within CG3125) and is represented by the P{lacW}CG3125G0060 insertion. The lethality of the chromosome maps to the 11C3-4;11D3-8 region and is represented by the P{lacW}l(1)G0060G0060 insertion.
Separable from: CG3125G0060.
P{lacW} not verified as causing the lethality.
Precise excision of the insertion reverts the lethal phenotype.
