      Flies with overexpression of Sas-6Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP driven ubiquitously by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL are healthy and fertile.

      Expression of sas-6Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in de novo formation of a large number of centriole-like structures in almost all unfertilised eggs (which do not normally contain centrioles).

      Expression of sas-6Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 does not result in extra centrioles in the female germline.
