Flo2UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4MZ1369 has macrochaeta phenotype, enhanceable by Flo1UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4MZ1369
Flo2UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4MZ1369 has wing phenotype, enhanceable by Flo1UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4MZ1369
Overexpression of Flo-2Scer\UAS.cHa and FloScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4MZ1369 results in compound phenotypic defects including abnormal eyes, ocelli, bristles and wings. Wings exhibit a highly variable but severe mutant phenotype, including blisteriing and melanotic cells. Mutant eye discs display a variable number of cone cells andprimary pigment cells per ommatidium, errors in number and positioning of the bristle complexes and mild cell sorting defects. The type of defects caused by Scer\GAL4MZ1369-driven misexpression of Flo-2Scer\UAS.cHa alone or in tandem with FloScer\UAS.cHa are largely indistinguishable, although flies overexpressing both proteins display a tendency towards more pronounced defects.
