      Expression of Nhe2short.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev results in planar cell polarity defects in the eye, consisting of symmetrical ommatidial clusters, rotation defects and occasional chirality inversions. Extra photoreceptor cells and fused ommatidia are also seen.
