Imprecise excision of the progenitor insertion which removes part of the original element as well as exonic sequence from all three Asator isoforms, including the start codons for the Asator-RD and Asator-RE isoforms, and with the 3' excision site located 2bp before the start codon of the Asator-RF isoform.
