Third instar larval class IV abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons expressing ImpRE.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG present a significant increase in the number of dendrite branch terminals, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in no obvious dendrite morphology defects in class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons, as compared to controls.
Expression of ImpRE.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 has no effect on oocyte development or female fertility.
Larvae expressing ImpRE.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU appear sluggish. The number of boutons per muscle area at the neuromuscular junction is significantly increased compared to controls.
Only 4% of animals expressing ImpRE.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU eclose. These escapers have sporadic tremors in the legs, an unstable walk, and frequently fall over and do not easily right themselves.
