Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

DbxΔ48/DbxΔ48 embryos display significantly lower numbers of ap-expressing neurons than controls. The remaining ap-expressing neurons fail to extend towards the medial-most Fas2-immunopositive fascicle in the ventral nerve cord, without impacting the overall organization of the Fas2-immunopositive scaffold.

Homozygous DbxΔ48 flies are viable, fertile and exhibit locomotor phenotypes. They are sessile and uncoordinated, perform poorly in climbing assays, and although they initiate a flight response, they can not maintain flight.
