Reference

Homozygous scaf11 escapers exhibit a head scar under the proboscis.

Homozygous scaf11 zygotic mutant embryos display cuticle phenotypes indicating dorsal closure defects. These phenotypes include opening of the anterior part of the embryo as well as puckering of the dorsal cuticle.
