UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of Hsap\SLC31A1 sequences.
eye | conditional, with Scer\GAL4GMR.PF
Flies expressing Hsap\CTR1Scer\UAS.cHa ubiquitously and constitutively under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI survive perfectly well on normal food. Only with high concentrations of copper (250μM) does Hsap\CTR1Scer\UAS.cHa expression reduce the survival rate.
Overexpression of Hsap\CTR1Scer\UAS.cHa in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no effect on the eye or survival rates when the flies are fed on normal food and even when they are raised on 250μM copper. A slight rough eye phenotype can be found on flies raised on 500μM copper.
Scer\GAL4Tub.PU/Hsap\SLC31A1UAS.cHa is a suppressor of lethal | larval stage phenotype of Ctr1A25
Scer\GAL4Tub.PU/Hsap\SLC31A1UAS.cHa is a suppressor of abnormal developmental rate | larval stage phenotype of Ctr1A25
Hsap\SLC31A1UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has eye | conditional phenotype, suppressible by Hsap\CCSUAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF
Co-expression of Hsap\CCSScer\UAS.cHa with Hsap\CTR1Scer\UAS.cHa in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a stronger rough eye phenotype.
Overexpression of Hsap\CTR1Scer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU suppresses the lethality associated with developmental arrest found in Ctr1A25 mutants.
