      The PBac{UAS-wg.W}Dgut insertion in the Drosophila guttifera genome shows ectopic stripes of black pigmentation on the wings, with the darkest stripes on longitudinal veins L3 and L4, and weaker stripes along L2 and L5 in the absence of any Scer\GAL4 driver (this is probably due to a positional effect of the insertion of the PBac{UAS-wg.W} construct into the Drosophila guttifera genome.
