Embryos expressing FucTAScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU have clusters of peripheral sensory neurons that are larger than expected for the developmental stage of the embryo. This phenotype is first apparent at stage 13 and in older embryos the ventral nerve cord appears expanded. Glial cell number is reduced in the ventral nerve cord but increase along peripheral migratory routes in embryos expressing FucTAScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU.
Expression of FucTAScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in wings with partial to complete loss of the anterior cross vein. Wings with a notched phenotype along their posterior-distal margin are also seen at relatively low penetrance.
