      Eyes from 1 day old animals expressing Hsap\MJDQ84.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 display mild levels of photoreceptor degeneration. By 15 days old, flies show neural loss, and an average of 3 photoreceptor neurons per ommatidial cluster is observed.
