UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Flies expressing RhoBTBHMS00411 (combined with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficacy) under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU display a weak bang sensitive phenotype (and remain paralyzed or with spasms for a prolonged period of time after vortexing, whereas control flies recover immediately or within a few seconds) as well as a rather weak climbing deficiency, no defects in the climbing ability are observed with any of the following drivers: Scer\GAL4RapGAP1-OK6, Scer\GAL4repo, Scer\GAL4Toll-6-D42 or Scer\GAL4DJ757.
Expression of RhoBTBHMS00411 (with UAS-Dicer2) controlled by either Scer\GAL4elav.PU or Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 does not significantly impair either learning or short- or long-term memory tested in a courtship conditioning paradigm.
Expression of RhoBTBHMS00411 (with UAS-Dicer2) under the combined control of Scer\GAL4477 and Scer\GAL4ppk.PG leads to defects in the morphology of the dendritic arbor (reduced number as well as length of branches) of class IV dendritic arborizing neurons in third instar larvae.
