His3His3.3B.PH rescues the infertility of His3.3AKO His3.3BKO double mutants, and the flies can be maintained as a permanent stock.

Clones triply homozygous for His3.3AKO, His3.3BKO and Df(2L)BSC104 survive if they are carrying both His3.3BK4R and two copies of M{3xHisGU.H3.2.K4R}, although the clones are smaller than their wild-type twin spots.

Clones triply homozygous for His3.3AKO, His3.3BKO and Df(2L)BSC104 survive if they are carrying both His3.3BK4A and two copies of M{3xHisGU.H3.2.K4A}, although the clones are smaller than their wild-type twin spots.

His3.3AKO His3.3BKO double homozygotes are sterile in both sexes but are viable to the adult stage with no obvious morphological defects.

The rare offspring of females containing His3.3AKO His3.3BKO double homozygous germline clones are phenotypically normal, irrespective of whether they paternally inherit His3.3+ function or not.

His3.3BTag:HA, His3.3BK9A.Tag:HA and His3.3BcHa each rescue the sterility of His3.3AKO His3.3BKO double homozygous males.
