Blastoderm embryos derived from females expressing grhRH.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 show defects in nuclear division. Anaphase bridges are seen between dividing nuclei, aberrant cell divisions which are perpendicular to the normal plane of division are seen and a lack of synchronicity in cell divisions is seen in approximately 50% of the embryos. There is an approximately 50% reduction in hatching of these animals compared to controls.
