Description

Excision of P{EPgy2}CASKEY07081, resulting in a 701 bp deletion of the region surrounding the original insertion including a large portion of the 5'UTR of the CASK-β isoform and a small chunk of the promoter region. The coding sequence is intact.

The CASKT119 line also harbors a small, non-rescuing, duplication of the deleted region elsewhere in the genome.

Lacks full-length mRNA for the CASK-β isoform (corresponding to CASK-PB and CASK-PF), though mRNA for the small CASK-α isoform (corresponding to CASK-PA, CASK-PD and CASK-PE) is expressed.
