Expression of Gαq^JF02464 under the control of any of the following: Scer\GAL4^Rh5-G, Scer\GAL4^Rh6-G, Scer\GAL4^TrpA1-AB-G4 or Scer\GAL4^TrpA1-CD-G4 results in impaired thermotactic behavior in late third instar larvae (120 hr AEL): unlike controls, they display no strong preference for cooler temperatures (18[o]C) in a temperature gradient. Expression under Scer\GAL4^trp.PP has no significant effect on the larval thermal preferences.
