P{XP}decayd07129 is located 398bp upstream from the transcription start site of decay.
Homozygous decayd07129 mutants develop normally and programmed cell death of vCrz neurons is unaffected in these mutants.
Homozygous decayd07129 males are reproductively abnormal, ranging from sterile to weakly fertile. The testes of these males look relatively normal but the accessory glands and anterior part of the ejaculatory duct of the mutant males are substantially smaller than the wild-type counterparts. In addition, the seminal vesicles that store mature sperm are slender and transparent, a likely result from the near-absence of stored sperms.
