Overexpression of Mdoa\AceScer\UAS.cKa in neuromuscular junctions under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4C164 or Scer\GAL4Cha.7.4 does not affect the number of synaptic boutons but does significantly increase the normalized length of synaptic branches.

When raised on 0.5ppm DDVP, an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor, Scer\GAL4C164/Mdoa\AceScer\UAS.cKa larvae show significantly increased survival rates compared with controls.
