      Four days after induction of His2AvKK108652 expression in germline stem cells (GSCs) and germ cells under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, spermatocytes are still observed in the testes, but by day 12 after clone induction they are no longer observed. At day 0, GSCs are seen in the testis at a similar frequency to controls. By day 12, the number of GSCs adjacent to the hub had dropped to zero, compared to an average of 7.8 in controls.

      Expression of His2AvKK108652 in spermatogonial cysts under the control of Scer\GAL4bam.T:Hsim\VP16 are able to differentiate, undergo meiosis and give rise to elongated spermatids as in controls.
