Lime^MI02952/Df(2R)Lime-exD transheterozygous larvae present significantly smaller lymph glands with lower density of crystal cells, but not of plasmatocytes, and present significantly fewer circulating hemocytes, fewer of which bearing differentiation features of crystal cells (i.e. Hnt-positive) but not of plasmatocytes (i.e. P1-positive), as compared to controls.

Lime^MI02952 homozygous and Lime^MI02952/Df(2R)Lime-exD transheterozygous larvae present significantly smaller lymph glands and significantly fewer circulating hemocytes.

Upon Leptopilina boulardii wasp infection, Lime^MI02952 homozygous and Lime^MI02952/Df(2R)Lime-exD transheterozygous larvae present significantly fewer hemocytes; at later stages of infection, there is also a decrease in lamellocytes. Lime^MI02952/Df(2R)Lime-exD larvae do not show obvious changes in survival to the infection.
