Derived from P{EP}G3298 by P-element excision. Deletion extends from chr 2R: 17607036..17607984 (Release 5), removing first exon, first intron, and part of second exon of Tango11, as well as upstream sequence. Deletion does not disrupt adjacent genes.
Deletion resulting from the imprecise excision of P{EP}G3298 which removes the first exon, first intron, and part of the second exon of Tango11, as well as upstream sequence.
The phenotype is larval lethality (or a developmental arrest, depending on how you look at it), apparent 100% penetrance. The larvae survive until early third instar. The larvae seem to persist at this stage indefinitely, though they do not grow. Instead, the larvae remain very, very small third instar larvae for as many as 20 days before death.
