      brv1L563STOP homozygotes and brv1L563STOP/Df(3L)Exel9007 animals show a clear deficit in their aversion to cold temperatures compared to wild type flies.

      Cold-evoked calcium transients of brv1-expressing cells are severely decreased in brv1L563STOP animals.
