The expression of dco^GL00001 under the control of Scer\GAL4^nos.PG leads to germline degeneration in the germarium.

Females heterozygous for dco^GL00001 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4^{otu.T:Hsim\VP16}, Scer\GAL4^nos.PG and Scer\GAL4^{nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16}) crossed to dco^GL00001 males results in: no eggs; egg/embryonic phenotype: no vitellogenic egg chambers; oogenesis defect.
