Expression of dsxGLV21010 under the control of the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4DBD.R24B02 and Hsap\RELAAD.R13H01 in males results in a reduced amount of sine song, but not pulse song, during courtship, compared to controls; the pulse song has significant defects in inter-pulse interval and carrier frequency, but not amplitude, compared to controls.

Expression of dsxGLV21010 under the control of Scer\GAL4dsx.Δ2, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, in males does not significantly alter the quality or quantity of sine or pulse song during courtship, compared to controls.

Expression of dsxGLV21010 under the control of the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4dsx-GAL4(DBD)::Zip- and Hsap\RELAAD.VT017258 in males significantly reduces posterior arbor volume of doublesex TN1A neurons, with no effect on anterior arbor volume, compared to controls.
