UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
The percentage of polycyclic pulses in courtship song is significantly higher in adults expressing CamtaGLV21048 under the control of Scer\GAL4Camta-MI04570-TG4.1, Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4nSyb.PU, Scer\GAL4fru.PU, but not Scer\GAL4repo.PU (in combination with Dicer-2, for an efficient RNAi), Scer\GAL4dsx.KI (in combination with Dicer-2, for an efficient RNAi), or Scer\GAL4VT040556, as compared to controls. This phenotype is also observed upon clonal expression under the control of Scer\GAL4fru.PU if restricted to the brain, but not if excluded from the brain (clonality achieved by Scer\FLP1FLPo.oc.Tag:NLS(SV40-largeT)-induced Gal80 flip-out clones); similar clonal expressions under the control of Scer\GAL4dsx.KI do not induce such phenotype whether restricted to or excluded from the brain. The phenotype is also observed upon clonal expression in fru-positive clones (clonality achieved by Scer\FLP1fru-induced Gal80 flip-out clones) when under the control of Scer\GAL4p52a, but not Scer\GAL4VT040556 or Scer\GAL4NP2631.
