Approximately 1kb of sequence that is normally located between y and lncRNA:yar (and which contains the su(Hw)BR-y-AS-C composite insulator (A1-2) and the A1-2' site containing a cluster of non-consensus su(Hw) protein binding sites) has been replaced by a w+mW.hs marker that is flanked by loxP sites.
