Expression of MicalScer\UAS.s under the control of Scer\GAL4B11-98 results in branched bristles. F-actin is abnormally organized within these bristles

Scer\GAL4how-24B-mediated expression of MicalScer\UAS.s results in abnormal actin organization in larval muscles.

Expression of MicalScer\UAS.s under the control of Scer\GAL4B11-98 results in branched bristles. The number of branches per mutant bristle is increased if the flies carry two copies of MicalScer\UAS.s instead of one.

F-actin bundles in the developing bristles of mutant adults expressing two copies of MicalScer\UAS.s under the control of Scer\GAL4B11-98 are significantly thinner than normal and form a complex meshwork of short filaments.
