Imprecise excision of the progenitor insertion has resulted in a deletion that extends from the codon encoding amino acid residue 541 of sec6 through the end of the transcription unit and continues to the 21st base pair of the 5' untranslated region of the neighbouring Eip55E gene.

Comment:

Deletion of part of Sec6 resulting from imprecise excsion of P{EP}Eip55EEP2021. The deletion location was estimated from the report that the Eip55EEx228 deletion extends from amino acid 541 of Sec6 to the 21st base pair of the 5? untranslated region of Eip55E. The deletion was mapped from the first base of Sec6 codon 541 to the insertion site of P{EP}Eip55EEP2021 in the 5' UTR of Eip55E.
