Expression of SKDN.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long in a wild-type background completely suppresses the SK current induced from photoreceptors using either the ion exchange protocol or 1-Ethyl-2-benzimidazolinone in dissociated ommatidia.
Intracellular recordings from photoreceptors expressing SKDN.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC (under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long) show accelerated response kinetics. However, no light-dependent oscillations are detected in such photoreceptors, although there conductance deficits match those of SK1 photoreceptors.
