Recombination between the Scer\FRT sites in the two progenitor insertions has resulted in the deletion of the genomic sequence between them and the production of a hybrid inserted element (PBac{WHr}Spn42Ddoka). The deletion is 398bp in length and includes the last two exons of Spn42Dd.
