The reported amino acid position of the mutation is based on an earlier version of the gene annotation, which used a downstream Met start site and is missing an intron. Species conservation data support use of the Met that is three amino acids upstream. The intron is supported by RNA-seq data. Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
