Dcr-1^19E2/Dcr-1^Q1147X results in pharate adults with normal morphology, although some adult escapers are seen.

Flies containing whole eye homozygous clones have normal photoreceptor projections to the central brain. However, the "on" transient of the electroretinogram is significantly reduced compared to wild type in these flies.
