Ectopic expression of atoScer\UAS.cYa along the anterior-posterior wing disc compartment boundary leads to the formation of ectopic chordotonal organs along the third wing vein that are clearly visible on the wing blade of the adult fly.
Broad overexpression of atoScer\UAS.cYa in the developing eye epithelium under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in 'rough' adult eyes, indicating that the ordered packing of the ommatidia is disrupted. atoScer\UAS.cYa expression induces supernumerary R8 neurons.
