Expression of MhcNIG.17927R under the control of Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 results in significantly decreased cardiac stiffness, cardiac dilation, impaired fractional shortening, decreased myocardial velocities, decreased heart rate and increased period, and significantly decreases median life span as compared to controls.

Statement
Reference

Co-expression of VincHP10347 in flies expressing MhcNIG.17927R under the control of Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 restores cardiac stiffness, heart period and median life span to wild type levels, partially restores the enlarged cardiac diameter and impaired fractional shortening, and leads to increased myocardial velocities and heart rate as compared with controls.
