      Adulthood expression of Der-1NIG.10908R under the control of Scer\GAL4NP5130 for 7 days leads to an increase in the number and proportion of progenitors (i.e. esg-positive) and stem cells (i.e. Dl-positive) in the midgut, as well as increase in the mitotic index; there are also increased number and proportion of enteroblasts in the midgut. Many large esg-positive also express the EC marker Pdm1, indicative of intestinal homeostasis loss.
