      Individuals expressing Dh31-RNIG.17043R under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 and Dicer-2 (for efficient RNAi) and kept under 12h:12h light:dark cycles show an abnormal temperature preference profile, namely a more constant temperature preference (~25.5[o]C) during daytime compared to the dynamic (increasing) temperature preference of controls. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE leads to mild changes in daytime temperature preference, as compared to controls.
