      Expression of GATAdNIG.5034R under the control of Scer\GAL4NP0001, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, does not produce any obvious effect on intestinal structure or the enterocyte brush border; there is also no increase in cell division (PH3 staining) in the midgut and no effect on lifespan, compared to controls.
