UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a 500bp inverted repeat.
Adults expressing Pex3NIG.6859R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU exhibit increased mortality upon systemic infection with Drosophila C virus when compared to controls.
Compared with wild-type, peroxisome abundance is reduced in wandering third instar larvae expressing Pex3NIG.6859R under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI.
Peroxisome numbers are severely reduced in larval body wall muscles when Pex3NIG.6859R is driven by Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR compared with controls lacking Pex3NIG.6859R.
Dcr-2UAS.cDa, Pex3NIG.6859R, Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR has wing phenotype
Co-expression of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa results in lethality at the pharate adult stage in animals expressing Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR>Pex3NIG.6859R. Most of these pharate adults display signs of incomplete eclosion as indicated by an open operculum. Viability of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR>Pex3NIG.6859R animals is reduced compared with animals expressing Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR>Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa alone. Wing expansion is also significantly impaired in animals co-expressing both Pex3NIG.6859R and Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR. The eclosed mutants show impaired locomotion as determined by a climb test.
