      Expression of HemK2NIG.9960R under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 combined with Gal80[ts] to bypass the developmental stage and Scer\GAL80Su(H).GBE to limit the expression to intestinal stem cells (ISCs) has no significant effect on the number of ISCs, but it significantly reduced the number of actively proliferating (EdU+) cells in the posterior adult midgut (similar reduction is also observed without the addition of Scer\GAL80Su(H).GBE).
