UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Embryos expressing MbsGL01207 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.nos.UTR show enhanced contractile ring constriction in cellularization stages.
Females heterozygous for MbsGL01207 and MTD-Gal4 (consists of Scer\GAL4otu.T:Hsim\VP16, Scer\GAL4nos.PG and Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16) crossed to MbsGL01207 males results in: "few eggs,0% hatching"; egg/embryonic phenotype: "small eggs, shortened dorsal appendages, 50% brown"; maternal effect; oogenesis defect.
Apical constriction appears more continuous in embryos expressing MbsGL01207 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 than in wild type. There is more heterogeneity in cell size, but apical constriction occurs at similar rates to control cells.
MbsGL01207, Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR has actomyosin contractile ring | maternal effect | embryonic stage 5 phenotype, suppressible by RhoGEF2UASp.Tag:T7, Scer\GAL4VP16.nanos.UTR
