Expressing ABCD^HMS02382 under the control of Scer\GAL4^αTub84B.PL, Scer\GAL4^sim.P3.7 or Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu results in holes in the retina and disrupted pigment cells between ommatidia. On the contrary, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^repo has no effect on retinal morphology.
