Imprecise excision of P{SUPor-P}Brca2KG03961 leaves an 8.7kb remnant of P{SUPor-P}Brca2KG03961 between the ATG start codon and the transcriptional start site of Brca2. The insertion retains the entire y gene but only a part of the w coding regions.
