Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Mutant larvae have slightly larger lipid droplets in the fat body than normal under fed conditions. Under starvation conditions, the lipid droplets in the mutant fat bodies are significantly larger than those in the wild-type controls.

Mutant third instar larvae show a 30% increase in the total glyceride level compared to wild type under fed conditions. Under starvation conditions, the level of total glyceride in the mutant larvae is double the level in the wild-type controls.

Statement
Reference

Hslb24 has lipid droplet phenotype, enhanceable by bmm1

Enhancer of
Statement
Reference

Hslb24 is an enhancer of lipid droplet phenotype of Lsd138

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The increase in size of the lipid droplets in the fat body of Hslb24 homozygous larvae is enhanced if they are also mutant for bmm1.

The large lipid droplet phenotype seen in Lsd-138 larvae is slightly enhanced by Hslb24.
