        The wing discs in homozygous dik1 third instar larvae are small compared to controls.

        dik1 enhances the variegation seen in In(1)wm4h females. This enhancement is suppressed upon expression of dik+tE4RX or in the presence of Dp(1;3)JC153.

        dik1 enhances the variegation seen in In(1)sc8 females. Extra bristles are seen in the pleura. This enhancement is suppressed upon expression of dik+tE4RX or in the presence of Dp(1;3)JC153.
