      Scer\GAL4ey.PU-mediated expression of dmScer\UAS.WT in a dmP0 background increases ommatidial size but decreases ommatidial number. In the eye imaginal disc, the number of differentiated photoreceptors is reduced and the number of apoptotic cells is increased.
