      Mutant flies have a significantly shorter lifespan than controls. The flies are more sensitive to heat stress, paraquat, rotenone and antimycin than controls. The mutant flies show an age-dependent impaired climbing ability. The mutant flies have decreased mitochondrial function compared to wild type.
