Egg chambers containing Aatfnutmeg-21.3 mutant germline clones arrest development at stage three of oogenesis. The centrosomes are correctly restricted to one cell in each mutant cyst, but fail to localise to the posterior pole of the oocyte.
The number of double stranded break foci in Aatfnutmeg-21.3 mutant germline cells is similar to wild type. As in wild type these foci disappear in region three of the germarium.

Expression of AatfScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 fully rescues the egg chamber arrest and oocyte polarity defects seen in Aatfnutmeg-21.3 mutant germline clones.
